The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma. – Patrick Star

I know I’m years behind the blogging trend but who cares. I’m doing this because I am bored and I get to type things in my computer while there is no work in the office. It makes me look that I am busy and have an excuse not to engage in small talk with my co-employees. Yeah that’s how I roll. I’ve been called a snub and “suplado” a lot and it works for me. I’ve been meaning to start my own blog months ago and actually started writing this collection back in June but haven’t found the time or I guess a bit hesitant since I am a very private person except to my close friends whom I have known for more than a decade.

I was thinking on what the format I would use to make my blog. Should I make it a daily diary on the events in my life as it happens? The quick answer to that is NO. That would be deathly boring since I have little to talk about my social life which is virtually non-existent. I was looking for ideas to work with, so one lazy Sunday afternoon I was browsing through my mobile phone and I was annoyed on how slow the loading time of my inbox is. I realized that as of the writing of this I have 3765 messages stored in my inbox. See, I have this habit (or non-habit) of not deleting messages. It’s not a conscious effort on my part to save the messages but I unintentionally let it accumulate. I was about to delete it all but an idea struck me, why not document /perpetuate the events of my life through the perspective of my texting life. I know it’s absurd since I am not a texting addict, in fact a P300 load would last me for two months and more than once my remaining cell load would expire since the load life for a P300 load is only 2 months.

The concept is somewhat similar to the blog of my friend but his source material is Yahoo Messenger chat logs from his friends which he calls “SnapShots”. His blogsite is at sydrified.blogspot.com go check it out. It has some interesting (weird) stories about his interests and you might find some incriminating facts about me which I am seriously considering to be a basis for filing libel and malicious mischief charges against him, but that’s another story. Being a product (or by-product) of the internet revolution I also had some inspiration from social networking sites such as Facebook status messages (add me up) and Twitter (which I don’t use).

My oldest stored message is dated December 24 2007, that’s 1 year and 9 months worth of messages. If you compute it I receive an average of six messages a day (pathetic, right?), a very low number compared to the unli-text addicts and considering the fact that some of those messages are “immaterial” such as forwarded messages and the standard reply “k” which I won’t discuss obviously. I will only discuss share the significant texts and also group together the relevant topics since most text are a series of conversations to save space and time.

Without further ado, here are the first batch of messages I received with brief background stories, anecdotes and running commentaries on them.
